Peru Employs Top-Level Agricultural Technology
In recent years, Peru has become a global agricultural benchmark, which has led to an increased availability of a wide range of products aimed at improving farming operations in the local market.
The agro-export boom has driven the development and expansion of new agricultural areas, mainly along the northern coast and in the highlands, where the cultivation of vegetables, tropical fruits, avocados, grapes, blueberries, cacao, and coffee is being promoted. In this context, the Peruvian government is supporting the development of high-growth crops—such as grapes, avocados, blueberries, and asparagus—since the export benefits of these products provide strong incentives to continue expanding the cultivated areas and adopting high-tech solutions, such as greenhouses with advanced climate control systems.
As a key element in its South American growth strategy, IEP Invernaderos is active in the Peruvian market, working with some of the country’s leading producers to provide them with the latest technological developments. This includes both irrigation systems and the construction of shade house structures (also known as Umbráculo or Casa Sombra), aiming to help them improve production efficiency in the Lambayeque and La Libertad regions.
